Endgame is a big deal for Marvel fans and the Studio alike, and while the rest of the Marvel cast were given a few pages of the script at a time, Holland was left in the dark.
The Spider-Man actor has a bad reputation among the production for spilling out secrets and the Russo brothers who’ve even handed out fake scripts to the cast, went an extra mile to seclude Holland from even taking a look at the script.
He’s notorious, and as well as famous for revealing the spoilers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There was this one instance when he fell for a spoof article that wrote in great detail that he had uploaded the entire Avengers: Infinity War online. Also, several times, he even revealed storylines and spoilers, to an extent, wherein Benedict Cumberbatch had to, on multiple occasions cut off Tom Holland from speaking up in interviews.
Russo went on to explain why he resorts to extreme lengths to save MCU from Tom Holland–
“Yeah, Tom Holland does not get the script. Tom Holland gets his lines and that’s it,” Russo said at the Indian Anthem Launch. “He doesn’t even know who he’s acting opposite of. We’ll just, we use like very vague terms to describe to him what is happening in the scene because he has a very difficult time keeping his mouth shut.”
It’s not yet confirmed if Spider-Man will be making an appearance in the upcoming Endgame film, but we’re continuing to keep our fingers crossed.
The movie hits theaters April 26.
Don’t worry about spoilers, we made Tom promise us.
