The Oscar winner and his wife were in Australia for the pre-production work of Elvis Presley’s biopic. The couple was first tested positive on March 11 and was quarantined in a rented home in Queensland. After nearly 2-weeks of treatment and isolation, the two have returned to the US to their home in LA.

He also thanked everyone in Australia who looked after them for their care and guidance which made it possible for them to return back to America. Tom Hanks was regularly updating the pair’s health status regularly on the social media platform. Their recovery from the deadly virus is positive news for all of us that it is definitely possible for people to get back to their normal lives and there is a little hope even in the time of this crisis.
