Netflix to Start Filming The Old Guard 2?

Here’s the good news for The Old Guard Fans!

Hollywood star Charlize Theron has announced that the much-awaited Netflix blockbuster movie “The Old Guard” sequel’s script is ready, and production will start in 2022. It is Netflix’s one of the most-watched genre action movies, now it is getting a sequel.

The Old Guard movie had more than 78 million views in its first four weeks on Netflix. The motion picture The Old Guard was adapted from the 2017 graphic novel by writer Greg Rucka and artist Leandro Fernandez. The story concentrates on a group of almost-immortal warriors who went in contemporary times and have to face obstacles. The small group was led by Andy(Theron). She has been working as a mercenary for many centuries.

The group was in shock when they found out that she was a new immortal woman, after a long time. The super-hero film was dropped in July 2020, featuring Marwan Kenzari, Kiki Layne, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Van Veronica Ngo, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
In a brief interview, Theron was asked, whether the queer couple Nicky and Joe were played by Marinelli and Kenzari will be back in the sequel. The actress responded, “Oh, yeah!. They’re definitely there.”

The 45-year-old star was well-known for her role as Cipher in “Fast and Furious 9”. Her upcoming film will be “The School for Good and Evil”, directed by Paul Feig.
