The prolonged battle between Netflix and Fox has been a whirlwind now as it has got intense. Fox had claimed damage against the web platform and so they will no more have anyone from Disney and its allied employees associated with them.
Post-Judge Marc Gross’s judgment of releasing a tentative rule, Netflix was finding it difficult as they were confronting staff contracts and besides the LA court official has confirmed it on the tentative.
The court’s verdict has been a sigh of relief for Fox as it stated that: Netflix should not ask employees who are on fixed-term contracts with fox or push those employees to violate the deal with Fox as per page 57 of the ruling.
Fox attorney Daniel Petrocelli said: “Today’s ruling by the Court brings to end years of unlawful practices by Netflix.” “The Court’s decision not only condemns Netflix’s deliberate violations of the law but just as importantly, reaffirms and protects the rights and choices of employees,” stated Daniel who is also the partner of O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
But the spokesperson from Netflix has declined to comment on the final ruling from the court. As per reports from the close aids of Netflix, it is said that the web platform has decided to appeal further on the verdict.
Further, Netflix finds it as a great loss amidst the competitive world prior to the time the case started.
