Mr. Mooney from Netflix’s ‘You’ Dies of Corona Virus

It’s hard not to remember the influence of Mr. Mooney on Joe Goldberg in Netflix’s hit series You. Actor Mark Blum, who played this crucial role, died in a hospital in New York on March 25 after contracting the Corona virus.

The 69-year old actor who has acted in movies like Lovesick, St. Elsewhere, and Desperately Seeking Susan was diagnosed with the infection and was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

“Mark was smart, funny, and a true actor’s actor. He will be deeply missed”, said Rebecca Damon, the Vice President of the SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television & Radio Artists).

As the global pandemic continues to take a toll on lives around the globe, it is heartbreaking to see the number of innocent lives being lost.

“I want to acknowledge the passing of a remarkable Human, fellow actor and friend Mark Blum, who succumbed to Coronavirus. This is really tragic and my heart goes out to him, his family, and his loved ones, “said Madonna in a recent post. Mark Blum and Madonna had performed together in the movie Desperately Seeking Susan.
