Meryl Streep to Host Met Gala 2020

The legendary actress Meryl Streep will be co-hosting the prestigious Met Gala alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda and Emma Stone in 2020. As Meryl 70 has never attended the grand event all these years, 2020 will be very special as the Metropolitan Museum Art will see her for the first time.

The panel of chair members other than these 3 is the popular designer Nicolas Ghesquiere from the house of Louis Vuitton. The French fashion line will be funding the event which is to happen on the 4^th of May.

Besides, Anna Wintour will be organizing the event as she is the reigning chairman since 1995. Previously there were themes based on camp, punk, and so on but for 2020 it will be based on “About Time: Fashion and Duration” which will witness the old, new and present outfits associated with “Henri Bergson’s theme la duree.”

Apart from this the renowned author Virginia Woolf’s lines from her famous books “Orlando, Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse,” etc all through the event.

The Met will implement classic monochromatic black clothing lines with “the progressive timescale of modernity” and reveal “the fast, fleeting rhythm of fashion” and end with the latest or upcoming fashion trends.
