Joey King to Get a Wig in ‘The Kissing Booth 3’?

Believe it or not, Joey King, well-known for her trademark brunette tresses, has been wearing a wig throughout the movie. Joey King aka Elle Evans from Netflix’s Kissing Booth franchise did not flaunt her real hair for almost the entirety of the movie.

The 22 years old actress wore a brunette wig to portray Elle Evans in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth franchise. It might be shocking news for many KB fans. It wasn’t a secret until Joey posted on Instagram in July 2020 in which she shared a glimpse of her makeup and wig application routine for the movie. In both movies, the actress concealed her hair. But in one scene, she flaunted her real hair in The Kissing Booth 3. As per JustJared, Elle’s stylish and mature pixie cut during the climax was actually her real hair.

The Kissing Booth second and third films were filmed in South Africa. According to People, Joey King has shaved her head for her role Gypsy Rose Blanchard in 2018’s The Act.
Joey revealed during a conversation with Allure that she was completely okay with cutting her hair.”I’ve never really had an attachment to my hair. I couldn’t care less what happens to it,” She further added, “No part of me was nervous or was second-guessing it. So many people would ask me, ‘Are you really scared?’ or ‘Are you nervous?’ or say, ‘You’re so brave.’ And I’d go, ‘I’m not brave, I’m just cutting my hair off.'”

It wasn’t the first time Joey shaved her hair for her role. As per People, she went bald for the 2014 movie Wish I Was Here when she was 14.
