Jessica Alba – All About Her and Her Movies in a Gist

The attractive, beautiful, brilliant, and sensuous Jessica Alba is an actress cum businesswoman. She was born in Pomona, California, and was raised in a conservative Latin American family. Right from the age of five, Jessica Alba has expressed her love for acting. In her early life, she frequently fell ill and suffered from asthma. Since her family was often shifting from place to place, she was also separated from her peers. 

 

When Alba was just 11, she succeeded in persuading her mom in taking her to an acting contest at Beverly Hills. She was also victorious at that contest for which she won the grand prize. And, do you know what the prize was? Free acting lessons! Alba started taking those lessons, and some months later, an agent signed her up. 

 

After graduating from her school, she began to attend the Atlantic Theater Company. Alba’s debut movie was “Camp Nowhere.” She continued to play roles in various television commercials and series, such as “Flipper.” Alba had the biggest breakthrough of her life when James Cameron selected her from more than 1000 candidates for the role of Max Guevara. This was for a science fiction television series known as “Dark Angel.” Alba was once again victorious in her venture and won a lot of acclaim for her role, including a Golden Globe nomination. In 2003, the attractive and alluring Jessica Alba played a role in the movie, “Honey,” in which she had very energetic dance numbers.

 

Alba too had and still has her share of ups and downs. At times, there were circumstances when she considered quitting her acting career. In spite of all these hurdles, she has proved her acting skills in several hit movies. One of them was “The Eye,” which was a remake of the Hong Kong original. In 2010, she was cast in five high-profile movies. “The Killer Inside Me” was one of those movies in which she portrayed the role of a prostitute. “Valentine’s Day,” “Machete,” and “An Invisible Sign of My Own” are a few of her other movies where she played an array of eclectic roles. 

 

In 2012, Alba launched “The Honest Company” with her business partner. Currently, she is the Chief Creative Officer of the company. She has won several accolades because of her beauty and brilliance. She was also on the “50 Most Beautiful People” list of People Magazine in 2005. But over the years, Jessica Alba continued to emphasize “not using her sex appeal” to reach heights in her acting career. 

 

Alba was in a 3-year relationship with the American actor, Michael Weatherly. In 2004, while she was acting for “Fantastic Four,” she met Cash Warren. The couple tied the knot in May 2008. Today, they have three children.
