A group of researchers from South Korea came out with some shocking results from their research about Hollywood. The study powered by artificial intelligence scans the faces featured in 20 Hollywood movies and 20 Korean movies and below results closely concludes that Hollywood is still being sexist,

  • The average screen time of female characters in the movie is only half of that played by men. Compared to men, women get only 56% of screen time as an average.

  • The study analyzed a lack of character depth of those female characters where they’re often used to portray women stereotypically like standing near furniture or staying at home. Whereas men had deeper character depth with demonstrative emotions like anger, hatred, and active role-playing.

Guess the world is still far from gender equality
