Gene Simmons’s daughter Sophie Simmons is to marry her fiance James Henderson. The KISS band star recalls how James proposed in Switzerland when they were getting ready for a family picture, and he went down on his knees.
Gene says, to PageSix, “I’m not ready. One second she’s just a pair of cheeks with little legs walking around. Next second, she’s a grown woman. I’m not ready. But it’s happening. She’s getting married and he’s a great guy.” It expresses his fatherly shock at how quickly his daughter grew up, how he is unable to process the child she was, and how she is going to get married in a few months.
He comments about the relationship between his daughter and her fiance, that they have “been living together for eight years… in sin!”
Sophie announced on social media about the proposal just before her 30th birthday, stating, “No birthday can top this.” The couple will join hands in marriage in February, and the feelings of the father to accept and settle with reality is evident.
