Doorbell Prank Goes Fatal, Killing Two Teens and Injuring Three

A group of teenagers who planned for a funny sleepover went through worst phase of their lifetime and two lost their life.

16-year-old Daniel, son of Craig Hawkins planned a sleepover with his 4 other friends and tragedy unfolded when one the boys to try a ‘Doorbell Prank’ and rang the doorbell of Anurag Chandra and then tried to flee the spot in their Toyota Prius.

But Anurag Chandra, 42, isn’t having his best day and got pissed enough to chase the Prius in his Infinity Q50, officials said.

He bore down at a high speed and rammed the car, causing the Prius to spin out of control and slam into a tree on the side of the road, California Highway Patrol officer Juan Quintero said.

“I just remember the joy of them beaming from ear-to-ear that we said yes,” Craig Hawkins, father of the Daniel who was killed on the incident.

That kind of reaction was typical for the teens: “They relished living … life itself was celebratory,” Hawkins said.
