Ben Affleck has played Batman for several films set in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). With his natural charisma, he gave a good performance as Batman and captured millions of fans right from his first movie. Recently in an interview with LA Times, the Batman star confessed that he won’t be playing the iconic character, and he opted out of the movie that he was about to act, direct and produce.

While speaking to the LA Times, the 40-year old actor, producer, and screenwriter said, “Directing Batman is a good example. I looked at it and thought, I’m not going to be happy doing this. The person who does this should love it.’ You’re supposed to always want these things, and I probably would have loved doing it at 32 or something. But it was the point where I started to realize it’s not worth it. It’s just a wonderful benefit of reorienting and recalibrating your priorities that once it started being more about the experience, I felt more at ease.”

He also added that his recent run as playing Batman in Zack Snyder’s Justice League was one of the worst experiences in his career. Sources say that he started drinking too much during the time of the Justice League. During the time of the Justice League, the actor got divorced. Last year, Ben reunited with his former girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez. The duo is now seen in many red carpet appearances.
