Amazon’s ex-board member Tom Alberg has revealed Amazon’s CEO, and Jeff Bezos follows five key principles while establishing decisions for the company. The major five principles include “customer obsession,” “constant invention and innovation”, “operational excellence,” and “thinking long-term underscores”. Bezos’ fifth principle is “Abiding optimism of the future and how we are only in Day 1.” The latest book also talks about Amazon’s success and Jeff Bezos’ contribution and hard work.
All these principles and Amazon’s success were discussed in the book titled “Flywheels: How Cities Are Creating Their Own Futures” by Tom Alberg, a former board member at Amazon. Alberg is now serving as managing director at Madrona Venture Group, which is a Seattle-based investment firm he established.
Earlier, the Amazon founder has successfully convinced Alberg to invest as he is an expert in a business plan and better initial results, Alberg discussed in the book. Alberg further added in the book, “The most important is customer obsession.” As per Bezos, several companies focused on their companies’ rivals and were against their consumers.
Alberg further mentioned Bezos who explained to a Congressional Committee, “customers are always beautifully, wonderfully dissatisfied. A constant desire to delight customers drives us to constantly invent on their behalf.” He also wrote that Jeff’s decisions could destroy the company’s bottom line and could benefit its customers.
