Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg had their mini “Ghost” reunion this year at the Oscars. The EGOT winner and the first time nominee posed for a photo on the red carpet. The former co-stars greeted each other and posed for a picture outside the theater.

This red carpet moment happened 35 years after the movie, “Ghost,” was released in 1990. The film starred Moore and Goldberg, along with Patrick Swayze and Tony Goldwyn. The movie revolves around Sam Whear (Swayze), and Molly Jensen (Moore) who were madly in love. Later, Sam is murdered by Carl Brunner (Goldwyn). This makes him a ghost, who is not able to communicate with Molly. Then he gets help from Old Mae Brown (Goldberg) to help Molly.

In 1991, after being nominated for five Oscars, the movie won 2. Whoopi Goldberg went home with the Oscar for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She also recently mentioned what convinced her to take up the role, stating, “I get a phone call from my agent, Ron Meyer, who says, ‘Patrick Swayze has been hired for this movie…’” The movie’s director and Swayze flew to meet Goldberg, and the two of them became friends instantly.

Goldberg recalled, “About 40 minutes go by and Patrick says, ‘Please do this with me,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, okay.’ And that’s how it happened.”

Demi Moore was nominated for her first Oscar for Best Actress for her role in The Substance, after winning a SAG award and a Golden Globe for the same role.

Witnessing many reunions like Moore’s and Goldberg’s at this year’s Oscars was surely an unforgettable moment etched in the history of Hollywood.
