Mt. Anak Krakatoa on the verge of major volcanic explosion

Indonesia has been under a major distress call ever since the tsunami struck killing hundreds of people belonging to the coastal towns of Sumatra and Java. Mt. Anak Krakatoa, that caused the massive waves on Dec 23, seems to be rumbling with hot lava eruptions at the rate of almost several times a minute. The heat and smoke radiations are spreading to the nearby locations polluting the air with dust and ashes.

Apart from sending warning signals to clear away all human population surrounding the area, all Indonesian airplanes crossing the volcanic zone have been rerouted. With a raised alert level from Indonesia’s disaster management agency, certain volcanologists claim that there are chances the mountain might even explode.
