Selena Gomez’s mother-in-law was forced to hide in a bathroom during a home invasion at a Studio City residence late Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m., when three masked men entered the property through a sliding glass door. LAPD officials confirmed that the woman was home alone at the time of the break-in.
Upon hearing the intruders, she retreated to an upstairs bathroom and barricaded herself inside while calling 911. Police say the suspects broke the bathroom door, but fled before reaching her.

Authorities reported that the intruders escaped before officers arrived at the scene. Items were taken from the home, though the exact list has not been released.
The home belongs to the mother of music producer Benny Blanco, who married Selena Gomez earlier this year.
LAPD says the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
