Jamie Dornan’s Wife Once Had a ‘Wedding’ with Colin Farrell

Before Fifty Shades heartthrob Jamie Dornan swept her off her feet, Amelia Warner had already experienced a whirlwind Hollywood romance—complete with a “wedding.”

Amelia and Jamie have been going strong since they met at a party in 2010 and married in 2013. They now share three children and are famously private. But long before her low-key life with Dornan, Amelia made headlines for her intense romance with Irish actor Colin Farrell.

Back in 2001, 19-year-old Amelia met then-25-year-old Colin Farrell through a mutual friend in L.A. Their romance quickly caught fire, and just months into dating, they took part in a marriage ceremony during a vacation in Tahiti. While the ceremony wasn’t legally binding, Amelia admitted in a 2004 interview that she would’ve married him for real at the time.

“We went to the activities desk and said, ‘We want to go jet-skiing and shark-feeding and… we want to get married,’” she said. “It wasn’t legally binding, it was just something we did for us.”

Colin, on the other hand, described it as “just a thing we did on holiday,” but the pair were reportedly engaged and even threw a party to celebrate with family.

The relationship eventually fizzled out, and Amelia went on to find lasting love with Jamie Dornan. Colin Farrell has also moved on and remains one of Hollywood’s most intriguing leading men.
