According to U.S. officials, President Donald Trump’s administration is considering the idea of expanding its military base in the Middle-East. The Iranian aggression and continuous reports of violence in the regions of Iran, Iraq, and Syria are sought to be the reasons for this consideration.
If this goes and planned, this will be a significant expansion of the military by the United States across the Middle East and increases the chances of countering Iran. The official also said that the expansion would include dozens of military ships, military hardware with the additional 14000 troops. The news was disclosed on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. However, it is crucial to notice after defence undersecretary for policy spoke to senators on Thursday that the Govt is planning to make changes in the number of troops deployed in the Middle East.
While President Donald Trump so far insisted that he wants to withdraw the troop from the Middle East, claiming it as an ‘Endless Wars’ against the extremists, he also seems to approved this proposal for increasing military troops in the Middle East.
