Ian Cross, a 29-year-old from the US, sued a Denver-based dating website for the lack of women on its database. Ian paid $9,409 as a membership fee for The Denver Dating Co, who exaggerated their database, but only five women were active in the age group of 18-35.
Ian Cross hopes to meet a single woman on the Denver Dating Co website run by the HMZ group. He met the website’s representative in January, and the company claimed there were “huge numbers of single women in the age range between 25 to 35.” The company also added, there are several new members because of the ‘wave or breakups’ The company also provides members with professional photography sessions and offers in-person sessions with company matchmakers. The lawsuit also claims that the website used fake reviews and created a fake impression with the public. “The Denver Dating Co. uses online reviews of fake or fictitious customers to create a false impression with the public regarding the quality and characteristics of its service,” mentioned in the lawsuit.
Not only this, several complaints have been filed against The Denver Dating Co. Ian Cross is seeking damages from the HMZ group, he even contacted the company regarding the issue, but after the initial response, the company abruptly stopped their communication.
