The world’s most used social networking platforms Facebook and Instagram faced glitches as several people around the global reported problems. As Thursday began with Thanksgiving wishes and lip-smacking Turkey roasts, netizens found it hard to post their freshly-clicked pictures or post stories. The site downdetector.com has found nearly 21,000 users facing issues with Instagram and the hashtag #Instagramdown started trending on Twitter almost instantly.
While it was quite upsetting, things were set right after hours of wait.
We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook’s family of apps, including Instagram. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. #InstagramDown

“Earlier today, people may have experienced trouble accessing Facebook’s family of apps. The issue has since been resolved, we are back to 100% for everyone and we’re sorry for any inconvenience”, said Facebook.
With newer updates being rolled out every now and then, technical glitches are common no matter how big the network is. And, recently Mark Zuckerburg had announced a new advancement about Facebook and Instagram sharing the same back end platform. Would the issues probably be because of this? While there was no announcement from the team after that, people are blissfully happy about their favorite social networks up and live with all functionalities in place.
However, Whatsapp wasn’t quite affected by any of these and that’s something we could relax about.
