Selena Gomez Releases Her First Pop Album

The American pop singer, Selena Gomez is back in a gloriously rare form!

The 27-year-old Selena Gomez has finally released her new album “Rare” on Thursday, Dec 27. The title sounds quite apt for Gomez’s third solo studio album. The American singer hasn’t released a studio project for 4 years after Revival 2015. The long wait has finally ended.

The album – Rare encompasses bold, unflinching vulnerability which has already reflected in her two lead singles-the melodramatic ballads “Lose You To Love You” which was an amazing hit and the success was continued on “Look At Her Now” that was tales of post-heart break.

Former Disney Channel teen actress Selena Gomez learned to maintain the celebrity standard in “Dance Again”, where she declares, “All the drama’s in remission / I don’t need permission to dance again.”

Selena Gomez’s Revival was a transition of her life. Whereas Rare holds Gomez’s past with faults, searching for freedom and peace in life after the survival of trauma.

Selena shared on Spotify about Rare album- “Honestly, this album was kind of a nightmare to deal with, but in the best way possible.”

“I thought that I was so ready like two years ago…. I had collected all of these sessions, beautiful sessions, that I don’t even remember half of them because it evolved each year.”

Nothing else on Rare is so heavy. The album consistently alludes to wreckage in Gomez’s past but errs on the breezy side, mostly exploring the freedom and relief of life on the other side of the trauma. Often it does so via the club, which is where the album’s other advance single lives.
