Nicki Minaj shocked fans worldwide after announcing the news of her retirement from music so that she could ‘have her family’. In a music career spanning more than ten years, the 34-year old hip hop star took to Twitter to express her intention of retiring from music.
She wrote on Twitter– “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now,” she said. “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, X in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE.”
Originally named Onika Tanya Maraj, Nicki Minaj’s career is studded with multiple MTV Video Music Awards wins and 10 Grammy nominations. Her last single was “MEGATRON,” that was released in June.
