Indeed, lying is a tough job and getting caught very soon after the act is brutal. That’s exactly what seemed to have happened with two different stances by President Donald Trump with a mere interval of a few hours. On Saturday, he took to Twitter that his government will not try to screw the Social Security or Medicare programs in their Fiscal 2021 budget.

But hours later, he was caught red-handed in a Wall Street Journal which revealed a report that cut spending by $4.4 trillion over a decade. Of that, it targets $2 trillion in savings from mandatory spending programs, including $130 billion from changes to Medicare prescription-drug pricing, $292 billion from safety-net cuts—such as work requirements for Medicaid and food stamps—and $70 billion from tightening eligibility access to disability benefits. Those who got outraged with his moves took to twitter to share their agony,
