Like it or hate it, there is no way you can ignore the newest season of Netflix’s psychological thriller ‘You’. The hit series introduced the audience to a new genre of romance where Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), a New York bookstore manager, crosses limits to earn the love of Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail). Right from tracking her phone to following her around, Joe stalks her in every way possible to make his romance last with the aspiring writer. He even goes to the extent of caging people and killing those he finds a threat.
Not sure if it is Penn Badgley’s charm or the gripping plot that attracted viewers into longing for a season 2. But, one cannot deny the fact that stalking has made its way back into the series, for now, Joe gets himself a new identity (Will Bettelheim) as he falls for a new girl (Love Quinn) in the city of Los Angeles. For all those of you who have watched the ending of the sophomore season and are nail-bitingly eager for season 3, you’ll probably realize that you have unknowingly been attracted to Joe no matter how many times he proves he’s not innocent.
In fact, the cliff-hanger at the end of ‘You season 2’ gives us a heads-up that the next season is going to be loaded with a lot more stalking and why worry for all is fair in love and war, isn’t it?
