Rapper Takeoff from the Atlanta-based group Migos was fatally shot dead outside a bowling alley in Houston. The rapper was there for a private party. He is only 28 years old. The third member of the Grammy-nominated group got his fame with the 2013 hit ‘Versace.’ The Migos group includes Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset and has composed several popular tracks like “Bad and Boujee” and “Walk It Talk It.”
The rapper was originally called Kirshnik Khari Ball and later got the name ‘Takeoff.’ The incident took place outside after the party when there was an argument with nearly 40 people around, after which the shooting occurred, according to the witnesses.
The police department claims, “I would not expect him to be involved … We have no reason to believe that he was involved in anything criminal at the time,” clearing there was no criminal involvement of the deceased rapper.
There were at least two gunmen at the spot and shot two other people, including a man and a woman in their 20s, who are expected to recover; the identity of the individuals is unknown. The police department did not disclose the cause of the shoot yet.
