Matthew McConaughey to Voice Agent Elvis on Netflix

Agent Elvis In Matthew McConaughey’s Magical Voiceover!!

Matthew McConaughey is all set to voice Elvis in Netflix’s adult animated action-comedy Agent Elvis. McConaughey will be joining with others as executive producer apart from voicing for Agent Elvis.

Priscilla Presley, wife of Elvis Presley will be serving as co-creator and executive producer along with John Eddie. Archer veteran Mike Arnold will be penning the series as head writer. This will be the first adult animated show coming from Sony Pictures Animation.

“Elvis Presley always dreamed of being a superhero — now, Priscilla Presley is making his dream a reality! Matthew @McConaughey stars in Agent Elvis, a new animated series created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie. Premieres March 2023,” Netflix and McConaughey wrote on their respective social media pages.

The character sketch and outlook are totally inspired by Presley’s look, brought into animation with the input of Oscar nominee Robert Valley and the wardrobe is styled by the famous designer John Varvatos.

You can expect Elvis to change of jumpsuit for a jetpack when he is recruited as a secret special agent as a government spy to battle the dark forces that threaten his lovable country while he is parallelly rocking as a rockstar during the day.

The one-minute 23-second long teaser for the series portrays Elvis going to the moon and getting trained to become a secret agent. He is accompanied by a trusted character, a gorilla.

Skydance Scraps Matthew McConaughey’s “Dallas Sting” Amid Concerning Allegations

“Dallas Sting” won’t be a part of Matthew McConaughey’s filmography as Skydance scraps the sports drama.

Well, looks like fans had to wait longer to see Matthew McConaughey on screen again. Skydance had no other way but to scrap the actor’s upcoming soccer movie “Dallas Sting,” by “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” director Kari Skogland. The media production company had to remove the project, just six weeks before official production, due to disturbing allegations the crew received surrounding the story.

“Dallas Split” was set to be derived from a true story of a girl’s soccer team’s 1984 trip to China and defeating some of the best teams from Australia, China, and Italy. Rumors come out as it was the same year when then-President Ronald Regan tried to reestablish the political relations between the US and China. So the allegations might have been very serious that Skydance could do nothing but abruptly remove the project.

Matthew McConaughey was cast to play Bill Kinder, the coach of a rag-tag girls soccer team, and “Dopesick” star Kaitlyn Dever was set to play Kinder’s daughter. Written by “GLOW” writers Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, “Dallas Sting” would’ve been McConaughey’s long-awaited appearance on screen. The actor was last seen in Guy Ritchie’s 2019 hit, “The Gentlemen.”
