The news which broke out on Sunday has been going viral that Marvel might take over DC Comics. This is because Dan DiDio has been removed from AT&T and so Kevin Fiege and Marvel might take DC Comics.
The explanation from AT&T is that Dan DiDio’s idea of redefining DC comics with “5G” aka “fifth-generation” to replace the old characters with the modern characters has created the issue.
Besides, When Dan had locked heads with Scott Snyder at the 5G reboot who wrote Batman. Snyder refused to change the characters and this brought a rift between them.
Due to this Dan was called by the AT&T/Warner Bros. on Friday and was terminated and it was witnessed Dan leaving immediately.
AT&T wanted to stick with the classic story as it has been used widely in varied series and films and other merchandise. Further, AT&T is on plans to write the story with Hollywood screenwriters rather than comic writers.
If there would be a new 5G comic book like black batman then it might not do justice to the latest characters like Robert Pattinson’s batman.
Apart from this, it is also said that AT&T will be looking at the publishing and will be exiting it and giving away DC comics as well to Marvel.
