Sen. Kamala Harris who was considered a superior candidate in the Democratic Party suspended her presidential campaign before the elections, which was unexpected and shocking. Most of the people came to know about it only in the afternoon of December 4th when she released a video on Twitter.
In her tweet, Kamala Harris said “So here’s the truth today. I’ve taken stock and looked at this from every angle, and over the last few days have come to one of the hardest decisions of my life,” Harris said. “My campaign for president simply doesn’t have the financial resources we need to continue.”
“I’m not a billionaire. I can’t fund my own campaign. And as the campaign has gone on, it’s become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete,” Harris said.
To my supporters, it is with deep regret—but also with deep gratitude—that I am suspending my campaign today.
But I want to be clear with you: I will keep fighting every day for what this campaign has been about. Justice for the People. All the people.https://t.co/92Hk7DHHbR

From her quote, it’s pretty obvious that the party is facing some funding issues and can’t afford the loss of finishing anything beyond 3rd place. While some staff thinks that it is a smart political move others heaved a sigh of relief that it’s better than winning fifth place in California. What do you think? Share your comments with us.
