Instagram devotees, we have good news for you! Instagram is known as the largest photo- and video-sharing platform worldwide that will have a feature called ‘Take a Break’, permitting users to enable a break reminder in the application. As the name indicates, it will encourage users to take a sufficient break from the Application like 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or 30 minutes. Not only that, but Instagram also offers advice on how to take a break. The Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri shared about this feature on Wednesday which is currently under testing. He explained that “If you opt-in, it encourages you to take a break from Instagram after you spend a certain amount of time on the app; 10, 20, or 30 minutes.”

In the video, Mosseri described the new feature and said it is, “part of a broader effort to try and give people more control over their experience of Instagram. Ultimately, you know what’s best for you when it comes to how you use the app. And we want to make sure we provide tools for you to shape Instagram into what works for you.”

The top social platform, Instagram’s upcoming feature will help users to have control over their usage in Instagram, said Mosseri. The application has been upgraded to provide what users need. The company spokesperson shared to The Verge that this feature would help “sending teens a notification urging them to turn it on.” The moment users activate the feature, they will be allowed to select the time duration like when they prefer to see reminders to ‘take a break.’
