Being in the media business for decades of years he had kept certain things hush but now he has revealed some of the important matters which include his faded friendship with Artie.
Artie Lange was once a popular comedian who had been arrested for his usage of drugs. He underwent a medical investigation and found to be positive and sentenced to jail.
Artie and Stern’s friendship goes back years ago when he was part of Stern Show and the rift happened when he used witty statements on Howard.
After years now Stern stated: “What’s happening with Artie makes me very sad. We’ve lost touch, and that’s my doing,” Stern told the New York Times this week. “I got my fingers crossed for the guy. And it wasn’t a clean break.”
Though Howard realized his mistake for splitting from his pal during his tough times he felt that he should have helped Lange come out of his addiction. He also stated that: “It was many years of wanting Artie to get help,” the radio producer shared.
Adding to this, Stern said that he did not talk about Lange all these days because it will make him feel bad. “I know that a lot of fans want me to talk about Artie and feel it’s a cop-out for me not to. I’ll take that. I don’t want to do anything that would rock his boat,” he said to a source.
