Kim Kardashian stepped out for the 2019 Met Gala in a custom latex dress by Thierry Mugler which just sent the fashion town in Awe. The dress, which featured a corset-like bodice and a high slit, was widely considered to be one of the evening’s most revealing looks. But it was also one of the most talked-about, as many praised Kardashian for her confidence. “I’m not sure if Kim K is wearing latex or skin but WOW,” one user tweeted. “Kim K risking it all at the Met Gala,” another wrote. In an interview with Vogue, Kardashian revealed that her decision to wear the latex dress was inspired by her late father, Robert Kardashian. “He was always talking about how Mugler and his designs were so ahead of their time and I always remembered that,” she said. “And so when I saw this collection that he did with Thrilling, I knew that I had to be a part of it and wear one of these looks.”
