Peter Fonda well remembered for his movie Easy Rider dies in 79 due to lung cancer. The news broke when his loved ones confirmed that he breathed his last at his LA home.
His father Henry Fonda is also a popular actor in Hollywood in the late ’50s. He is also the brother of actress Jane Fonda. It was stated from his family that: “It is with deep sorrow that we share the news that Peter Fonda has passed away and in one of the saddest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts. As we grieve, we ask that you respect our privacy. And, while we mourn the loss of this sweet and gracious man, we also wish for all to celebrate his indomitable spirit and love of life. In honor of Peter, please raise a glass to freedom.”
Peter is known for his eccentric behavior and he rose to fame in 1960 due to his unique culture and has been nominated for the Oscars for Easy writer for co-screenwriter. He was also nominated for Vietnam Veteran and for playing the role of a widowed beekeeper in Gold.
Peter was more attached to his mom but he became closer to his father a few years before his death. The movie Easy Rider was produced by Fonda and helmed by Dennis Hopper who was an emerging actor. The movie was produced for the least sum of $380,000 but went to do well at the box office and earned a profit of $40 million.
Later it was also added to the book of Unites States National Film Registry for “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant,” and also topped in one of 100 best films chart in Hollywood.
