The British pop icon Ed Sheeran recently shared on a show on losing his weight to 56 pounds after he was bullied in social media as “Chunky and Fat.”
He stated that: “I never once had any insecurities really about myself until people pointed them out. Your brain starts thinking about them,” and “I was the same sort of age as the One Direction boys and Justin Bieber and all these people that were really in shape and had six-packs and I was kind of like, ‘Oh should I be looking like this?”
Further, Ed accepted that the comments did give him inferiority complex and now that he is strong enough to face anything that comes his way. Earlier the pop singer had deactivated his twitter account due to the bad comments.
He also added saying: “It all stems from other people’s insecurities. So many people have so many things they’re insecure about so it makes them feel better to point out someone else’s.” “Half the people that would say I was fat would be fat themselves.”
“One comment ruins your day. But that’s why I’ve come off it. The head-f— for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much,” Sheeran shared with a source back in 2017.
Sheeran also spoke saying that he was shy and did not reveal himself in the first 3 or 4 music videos. Later when he appeared in his “Thinking Out Loud” video it broke the internet with 2.8 billion views.
The singer also said that his friends called him “Two Dinners Teddy,” as he would go to pubs to eat and drink heavily and never workout which gained him loads of weight.
But now he has transformed into a fit and healthy lifestyle.
