Artist, singer and Entrepreneur Will.i.am lashed out on Twitter after his unpleasant flight experience while traveling from Brisbane to Sydney onboard a Qantas flight.
The Black Eyed Peas band’s cover man felt that he was picked on by a flight attendant when he missed out on a plane announcement to turn his laptop off.
He then went on to share the experience with his roughly 12.8 million Twitter followers, where he accused the flight attendant to single him out and call the police for just not putting the laptop away when asked to.
I’m currently on a flight from Brisbane to Sydney.
I’m sorry to say me and my group have experienced they worse service due to a overly aggressive flight attendant…
I don’t want to believe she racist.
But she has clearly aimed all her frustrations only at the people of colour— will.i.am (@iamwill) November 16, 2019
“I was intimidated by 5 police officers when I landed…for what? I put away my laptop when she asked…why would she feel threatened by me to call the police? What did I do wrong? I wasn’t out of hand.. I was polite & did what she asked… now you’re asking me to take the abuse?” the singer tweeted.

Qantas Airline was quick enough to issue a statement denying the allegation made by the rapper.
“There was a misunderstanding on board, which seems to have been exacerbated by will.i.am wearing noise-canceling headphones and not being able to hear instructions from crew,” a spokesman said.
“We’ll be following up with will.i.am and wish him well for the rest of the tour.”
Though his intentions might not be a result of ill-will, many think that the rapper was using his huge twitter base to channel hate due to personal angst at someone who was just doing her job.
