The latest “Hellboy” movie bombed at the box office and made only $12 million debuts. There are rumors that “Hellboy” was a deserved failure because of the absence of Ron Pearlman ( previous Hellboy movie actor) and Guillermo del Toro (previous Hellboy director) who made the original “Hellboy” films so damned enjoyable.
This is not the only reason for the flop, poor reviews from film critics and fans and poor branding also messed up the film.
Movie: Gemini Man
The question we all should ask is- How can Will Smith’s science-fiction movie be a flop? And the filmmaker, Ang Lee has given us remarkable movies such as- Life of Pi, Sense and sensibility and Hulk.
“Gemini Man” faced a big loss after it hit the theaters. It turns out that audiences did not want to see Will Smith alongside a de-aged Will Smith.
Not enough people turned out to see it. “Gemini Man” only made $120 million worldwide in two weeks. It’s estimated “Gemini Man” will lose $75 million by the time the movie ages out of theaters.
Movie: Dark Phoenix
Fox’s X-Men series is not supposed to end like this! “Dark Phoenix” was meant to be the end of the X-men series but it didn’t reach the expectations of the audience. The film cost $200 million to make and drew a pitiful amount of $65.84 million domestically. It is known that the film’s poor performance made a $100 million loss.
Movie: The Beach Bum
Matthew McConaughey’s new movie is not as we expected! Filmmaker Harmony Korine’s “The Beach Bum” hit the theaters and became the worst-release of Matthew McConaughey’s career.
“The Beach Bum” made $1.8 million on its opening weekend, the lowest opening gross of McConaughey’s career. The Rotten Tomatoes critics rating is 54%, which is not that bad but starring famous actors like- McConaughey, Snoop Dog, and Isla Fisher and becoming a bomb is a slight disappointment.
