Ellen Pompeo broke many hearts by insinuating she could possibly leave the show by the end of Season 16. Ellen said she is looking for a change, interested to do something new and is really excited about her producing career. In a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Pompeo said she would like to stay longer making everyone wonder what changed.
It seemed she recently realized the impact the show has on its viewers. While she was sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres, Pompeo shared a story on a young man cast on the show. The lad played a gay role, happened to be a gay in real life and told Pompeo how the show helped him to take this to the world and his parents. After hearing it she felt obligated to stay on the show as it touches many people’s life until ABC makes the decision to end it. Right now Ellen is playing Meredith Grey as obligated through Season 16. As per her interview, we may see her on the show in the number of years to come.
