Defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro didn’t hold back. She asked the court to acquit Combs on all charges, claiming the prosecution failed to prove anything beyond “toxic but consensual” relationships. From Cassie Ventura’s infamous hotel video to “Jane’s” traumatic testimony, it’s been a courtroom rollercoaster.

To defend their client, Combs’ team presented old text messages from Cassie saying she “loved and appreciated” him. They also questioned the credibility of key witnesses — including three women close to Cassie — citing inconsistencies in their stories.

The video that rocked the courtroom? A 2016 surveillance clip showing Combs assaulting Cassie as she tried to flee their hotel room. His lawyers admit to violence — but deny sex trafficking or coercion.

Let’s talk “freak-offs”: Prosecutors described wild, candle-lit sex nights involving lingerie, baby oil, and other men — all allegedly orchestrated and pressured by Combs. His defense insists it was all “consensual exploration.”

The courtroom remained partially closed as jurors were shown sealed video evidence. While prosecutors kept the clips short, Combs’ lawyers wanted longer versions played — arguing they proved mutual consent.

“You are not here to judge him for his sexual preferences,” defense lawyer Teny Geragos told jurors, emphasizing this is about law — not lifestyle.

With closing arguments scheduled for Thursday, the jury is set to decide if this is a case of consent twisted into criminality or a powerful man finally facing consequences.
