The popular flick ‘Dirty Dancing’ is getting ready for its part 2 as per sources.
Jon Feltheimer the CEO of Studio officially confirmed back on Thursday stating it as “one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood,” as per reports.
“It will be exactly the kind of romantic, nostalgic movie that the franchise’s fans have been waiting for and that has made it the biggest-selling library title in the company’s history,” he added.
The first film released in 1987 saw Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in the lead where Jen is a dance teacher and Johnny Castle and tourist Frances “Baby” Houseman falls in love in a vacation resort.
Well, the good news is that Jen will part of the sequel and produce it as well. Whereas of Swayze, he passed in 2009 due to pancreatic cancer and he was 57.
The flick was also made as ‘Dirty Dancing’ TV serial, then as a television film and also as a musical in 2004 movie “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.”
But it’s still not clear on the release date and fans of the original flick are quite excited for the upcoming sequel. Hope it satisfies their expectation.
