Richard Lewis, the famous stand-up comedian and actor, has died at 76. On 27th February 2024, Lewis breathed his last. He died at his Los Angeles home because of a heart attack. This news was confirmed by his publicist, Jeff Abraham.

In the American television sitcom, “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Richard Lewis has acted for many years. He has also starred in movies, such as “Drunks,” and “Robin Hood: Men in Tights.” Lewis became famous after starring in the sitcom, “Anything but Love,” along with Jamie Lee Curtis. 

Lewis was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and he shared this news some time back on social media. Last year, he announced that he was retiring from stand-up. Lewis was a dedicated and talented actor, who used to have the rare combination of being both funny and sweet. 

Jeff Abraham has stated that the actor’s wife, Joyce Lapinsky, has thanked everyone for extending love and support to the family. She has also thanked them for their understanding of the family’s privacy during these trying times.

The primary ingredient of Richard’s humor was his honesty. He was popularly known as “Prince of Pain” by friends and colleagues. Richard has also written a couple of books, one of which is his memoir.
