Hugh Jackman Confirms Return as Wolverine for ‘Deadpool 3’

“Yeah, sure, Ryan.” Hugh Jackman confirms return as Wolverine in the most subtle way!

Yes! You read that right! Hugh Jackman is returning to the Marvel Universe, reprising the fan-beloved character. And the way the news dropped ‘just like that’ blew everyone’s mind. All thanks to our Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds the upcoming Deadpool movie also got a release date, September 6, 2024.

Reynold surprised fans by dropping the news on his social media, starting with, “Hey everyone, we’re extremely sad to have missed D23, but we’ve been working very hard on the next Deadpool film for a good long while now.”

Sadly, fans missed an update on Deadpool 3 at Disney’s D23 Expo in early September. When Fox Studios’ Marvel Comics characters came back to Marvel Studios, speculations rose among fans on the characters’ upcoming appearance. Yet, there was one uncertainty.

Fox’s Deadpool movies are praised for their R-rated plot but when the character moved under Marvel Studios’ wing—whose movies are family and kids-friendly—fans thought the Deadpool franchise would lose its originality. But thankfully, the writers of Deadpool 3 confirmed that the upcoming installment will be R-rated.

Ryan Reynolds then went on in the video saying the efforts and hard work the actor puts in for the upcoming film. And then we see Hugh Jackman, the Wolverine himself, walking behind when Reynolds asks, “Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?”

And Jackman’s response was a simple, “Yeah, sure, Ryan,” making everyone staring at the screen scream in joy. It’s official! Hugh Jackman is returning to the superhero world as the former X-Men member Wolverine!

Deadpool 3 is coming!!

The coming of the third installment of the Deadpool is confirmed by the actor himself. Ryan Reynolds is all set to take the Marvel anti-hero avatar. Yes, Deadpool 3 is currently in development at Marvel Studios.

During a recent appearance on Live! With Kelly and Ryan, Ryan confirmed that Deadpool 3 is in production and said “We’re working on it right now, the whole team,” and added, “We’re over at Marvel now, which is like the big leagues all of a sudden.”

Deadpool landing in the MCU might be surprising but it shouldn’t be because of the Fox-Disney merger done earlier in 2019. Since its entering MCU, the film might have some cleanup or major changes to make it family-friendly and not an R-rated one. Hopefully, the film should be just as offensive and outrageous as ever apparently that kept the popularity of the franchise alive.

Let’s wait to watch which comic villains are going to face off against Deadpool in the third part!
