As per sources, it was confirmed by the UFC president Dana White that the first fight in Fight Island will be amidst Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway.
In the last few days the whole of the internet and media were speculating what the matches will be like in “Fight Island,” and where will it take place.
But it didn’t take much time as Dana stated that the UFC will be conducting its matches on their own island due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per his information, Fight Island is situated in Abu Dhabi in Yas Island and he gave a glimpse on a few cards.
As mentioned above the fight will be down to Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. And in the following match, it is believed that there might be a fight between Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Osman on 11th July.
The other matches are expected to be held on July 15th, 18th, and 25th. At present, there are sources hinting that there will be matches against Robert Whitaker and Darren Till, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Shogun Rua, and Fabricio Werdum and Alexander Gustafsson.
Further, Dana has arranged a private flight for players in order to have a safe to and fro journey to the island. Moreover, he also said that they will follow the COIVD-19 tests for the safety of the fighters and be COVID-19 free.
