From Whiplash to La La Land, Academy Award-winning director Damien Chazelle debuted the brand new trailer of his upcoming Hollywood drama “Babylon,” stunning the crowd at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) with his brilliant directing formula.
During his talk at TIFF, Chazelle said Babylon was “the hardest shoot I have ever had.” Damien Chazelle is known for his masterpiece works like Whiplash and La La Land, which made him the youngest director to ever win an Academy Award.
The director then debuted the trailer of his star-studded “Babylon,” with Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Tobey Maguire having pivotal roles.
The first trailer of “Babylon” received widespread acclaim, praising the way the movie explores the Glitz, Glam, and Drugs of Old Hollywood. The story focuses on Pitt and Robbie’s characters struggling to make their way through 1920s Hollywood.
From an alligator on a leash to Robbie’s character preparing to fight a snake, everything about the movie looks extravagant. With promising performances from the crew, Babylon seems to have the potential to enter the Oscar race.
Babylon is the next anticipated project from Damien Chazelle after his 2018’s First Man, starring Ryan Gosling.
Star-studded Babylon hits theaters on Christmas Day.
