Sharing it with PEOPLE he said: “Annie never got sick, not once. Every checkup was textbook perfect,” and “people would stare at just how well she was carrying not one, but two babies. But the delivery was a different story.”

He continued saying that the duo’s ‘plans changed’ post 30 hours of labor and Annie was taken for a c-section.

“We never expected our little Ava Dior would arrive in the world without a pulse. At that moment, we had a choice: faith or fear,” says the singer. “We watched and prayed as the doctors and nurses resuscitated our daughter back to life.”

“After several days in the NICU, Dior was able to join us at home, happy and healthy. That was a great day,” he added. “Life doesn’t always happen the way we want it to, but we believe that life is more about the way we respond to things than what happens to us. We thank God and our amazing doctors and nurses for our two little miracles.”

The Christian musician who reached 7th in the 11th American Idol season states that the experience gave another new definition to his previous song “Miracles.”

Adding to this he said: “To be honest, this recent journey has given the song a whole new meaning to me.”
