Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, renowned for styling stars like Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, and Katy Perry, passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 34. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has confirmed that his cause of death was severe pneumonia caused by Pneumocystis jirovecii and disseminated Cryptococcus neoformans, both complications arising from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
Guerrero had been feeling unwell since September 2024, experiencing symptoms like weight loss, weakness, and chills. Despite his declining health, he continued to work, traveling internationally for various assignments. He was hospitalized on February 21 after feeling ill and died the following morning.
Following his death, Kylie Jenner covered his funeral expenses, offering steadfast support to his grieving family. His funeral was held on March 30 in Houston, attended by Jenner and Lopez.
