The case surrounding Matthew Perry’s tragic death has taken a dramatic turn. Jasveen Sangha — a 42-year-old American-British woman known in Hollywood circles as the “Ketamine Queen” — has officially pleaded guilty to charges tied to the Friends star’s fatal overdose.
Federal prosecutors say Sangha ran a full-blown “drug emporium” out of her Los Angeles home, where investigators uncovered more than 80 vials of ketamine and thousands of pills ranging from cocaine to Xanax. Authorities claim she catered to celebrities and high-profile clients while living a lavish lifestyle of red-carpet parties, trips abroad, and A-list connections.

Perry, best known for playing Chandler Bing, was found dead in the jacuzzi of his LA home in October 2023. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death as acute ketamine effects. Sangha is one of five people accused of fueling Perry’s addiction, along with two doctors, Perry’s assistant, and another supplier — all of whom are also expected to plead guilty.

In court this week, Sangha admitted to five charges, including distributing ketamine resulting in death. She even confessed to a separate 2019 case in which another buyer died hours after purchasing from her stash.
Once dubbed a “queen” of Hollywood’s underground ketamine network, Sangha now faces up to 65 years in federal prison when she is sentenced this December.
Perry’s death continues to shine a harsh light on Hollywood’s so-called “wild west” drug scene, where dangerous substances circulate in plain sight. For fans still grieving the beloved actor, the case offers some answers — but also a sobering reminder of the darker side of fame.
