It turns out to be a grave matter of concern as the ‘Hong Kong Protests’ seem to fume more every other day and many lives are at stake because of protests turning violent. The protest is rocking the Chinese Government and people for months and no peace talks or plans to ease the situation are proposed yet. Now 70-year-old cleaner was on a lunch break on Wednesday when he was struck by “hard objects hurled by masked rioters”, claims the Chinese Government in an official statement
It all started with the recent bill that is proposed in April that allowed criminal suspects to be extradited to mainland China under certain circumstances. Opponents said this risked exposing Hong Kongers to unfair trials and violent treatment. They also argued the bill would give China greater influence over Hong Kong and could be used to target activists and journalists. Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets. After weeks of protests, leader Carrie Lam eventually said the bill would be suspended indefinitely.
In September, the bill was finally withdrawn, but protesters said this was “too little, too late”. The protestors came up with the below 5 conditions to withdraw the protests,
