Marvel Studios boss Kevin Fiege during a Q&A at the New York Film Academy confirmed that the MCU will be getting its first transgender character “very soon.”

Kevin further discussed Marvel’s aspirations to include LGBTQ+ representation in the franchise when answering to a student’s question on whether the studio had any plans to add more diverse superheroes to their upcoming roster of movies, specifically referencing transgender characters.

“Yes, absolutely yes,” Feige said. “Very soon. In a movie, we’re shooting right now.” And ‘Eternals’ will the one which will feature MCU’s first openly gay character.

Kevin spill the beans earlier in 2019 about this saying, “You look at the success of Captain Marvel and Black Panther. We want the movies to reflect the audience and we want every member of our global audience to see themselves reflected on the screen.”

While Marvel saw its first deaf superhero, first Asian-American superhero in its early phases now it’s time for a Trans superhero who is definitively who he is in the real world.

It’s true that the world is ready! The massive franchise is officially saying ‘we support you’. Yay!!
