Salma Hayek Pinault is from Mexico and was brought up in a wealthy family. When she was 12, she started studying at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Louisiana. She was diagnosed with dyslexia, but it did not prevent her from pursuing a career in the movie industry. She made her debut in a television series for which she won the TVyNovelas Best Debut Actress award.
