Heavy metal has officially closed a chapter — and what a legendary one it was. In an emotional and thunderous farewell, Ozzy Osbourne reunited with the original Black Sabbath lineup for what he called his final performance, held in his hometown of Birmingham, England.

More than 40,000 fans filled Villa Park to witness the Ozzy Osbourne final performance with Black Sabbath, and it truly felt like metal history was being written all over again. Guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward joined the Prince of Darkness onstage — marking their first reunion in two decades.

The night was packed with pure Sabbath energy: “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” “N.I.B.,” and of course, the grand finale “Paranoid” — a song that has defined the genre for generations.

As Ozzy sat atop a bat-crowned throne, he addressed the crowd with heartfelt honesty: “You have no idea how I feel… Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you. We love you.”

The event, aptly named Back to the Beginning, wasn’t just a concert — it was a love letter to heavy metal. Hosted by Aquaman star Jason Momoa, the lineup was stacked with rock royalty: Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and more. Special performances from Billy Corgan, Travis Barker, and Steven Tyler gave the night an extra kick of stardust.

One Last Roar

Though the setlist was only four songs deep, the reunion was power-packed. And as Ozzy warned, “Unfortunately, we’ve come to our final song — ever.”

The farewell was made even more poignant considering Ozzy’s health. He’s been battling Parkinson’s and recovering from spinal surgeries. But the man who once leapt across stages with reckless abandon showed up, sat down, and still gave a show that brought the house down.

He said it best: “I want to spend the rest of my life with my family. I don’t want to die in a hotel room somewhere.”

The night ended with fireworks and a surprise cake for Ozzy — fitting for the metal god who gave his all, for decades.

With this curtain call, Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance with Black Sabbath was more than just music — it was legacy, loyalty, and a whole lotta love.
