Ann Hathaway is best known for dancing to her own tunes. This has happened with her brand new country style home in California. Though her accolades and awards to her kitty are quite known, she always loves to keep her private life mum. So it’s not a surprise when she and her better half Adam Shulman a jewelry designer would go for an exquisite abode amidst the California Mountains.
All credits to the “Architectural Digest” which featured the news and gave a glimpse of the magical home. In a recent interview Shulman says that: “when they saw a picturesque home with a “driveway and panoramic view unfolds in front of them”, they were captivated instantly, to which Ann says that: It was the perfect blend of “romance and great design”. Initially, their instinct was “it’s going to be a very important place in their lives”.
The home was based on the fiction of the “enchanting 1906 Swiss chalet-style residence” which was ruined by fire in 1917 and reconstructed where Yves Saint Laurent was said to have owned the house “before director Wes Anderson” bought it and it is said that he had “hipster-twee spin put up in the house”. The story also says that “Anderson and Bowie hosting a New Year’s Eve Party here”.
Now the home was designed by prominent architects Myron Hunt and Elmer Grey who proudly tell that space is quite enough for the extending family. Ann and Shulman have a 3 yr old son Jonathan and Hathaway has announced her pregnancy in late July. So they are waiting for the arrival of baby no 2 and Shulman said that “when it’s just the baby and us it feels quite and contemplative — the house feels like it holds you,”
